The Court of Common Pleas is a general jurisdiction consisting of four divisions: Civil, Criminal, Domestic Relations and Appellate.
The Criminal Division issues summons and warrants for all felony indictments presented by the grand jury.
The Civil Division handles civil cases with a disputed monetary amount in excess of $15,000.00, such as foreclosures, real estate, injunctions. and major civil cases (both injury and contract).
